Community Yoga is offering another seasonal mala making workshop that coincides perfectly with the summer solstice!
Mala beads have been used in many different cultures as prayer beads and as a tool for facilitating meditation. Commonly strung with 108 beads, they can be used to count mantras or prayers during meditation.
Making your own mala is especially powerful because you are infusing your own energy and intention into the beads. The process of making a mala encourages mindfulness and allows you to connect to your own power of intention.
Join Katie D. as she guides you through the steps for making your very own inspired and unique mala. The workshop will begin with Sun Salutations to warm the body, focus the mind, and cultivate an intention to infuse into your mala. You'll choose a mantra or intention to infuse into your beads as you string them, and then bless your finished product with a special blend of essential oils. She'll guide you through a short meditation at the end so you'll know how to use your mala in your own meditation practice.
Cheers to releasing and renewing for the summer season!
