Join me for a special workshop at Soul Yoga + Wellness benefitting Her Future Coalition that will leave you feeling totally blissed out. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Taoist philosophy, summer is a very active, yang time of year associated with abundance (and lots of sunshine, heat, and packed calendars). The summer months are also associated with the fire element as well as the heart and small intestines. In this workshop, you will learn about the meridians associated with the heart and small intestines and the role they play in maintaining balance in the body. I will take you through a brief heart-centered slow flow followed by several yin postures that help open the energy channels associated with the heart and small intestines. As you rest in these postures, she will be sharing essential oils associated with abundance and calming any excess fire. Finally, I will guide participants through a yoga nidra, also known as “yogi sleep”, so you’ll leave feeling zenned out and ready to take on the rest of summer.
Proceeds from this workshop are going to benefit Her Future Coalition, a non-profit that shelters, educates, and empowers survivors of gender violence and sex trafficking.
