Mala Making Workshop

  • Charleston Community Yoga 815 Savannah Highway Charleston, SC, 29407 United States (map)

Mala beads have been used in many different cultures as prayer beads and as a tool for facilitating meditation. Commonly strung with 108 beads, they can be used to count mantras or prayers during meditation.

Making your own mala is especially powerful because you are infusing your own energy and intention into the beads. The process of making a mala encourages mindfulness and allows you to connect to your own power of intention.

Join Katie as she guides you through the steps for making your very own inspired mala. She'll start with a simple yoga sequence before diving into the mala making. You'll choose a mantra or intention to infuse into your beads as you string them, and then bless your finished product with a special blend of essential oils. She'll guide you through a short meditation at the end so you'll know how to use your mala in the future.

Cheers to an inspired holiday season and powerful start to the new year!
