In celebration of Piccolo Spoleto, Community Yoga is bringing you an intimate evening where we fuse together the fluidity of movement with live figurative paintings by local artist Carrie Beth Waghorn. The energy of movement will be captured with Japanese Ink as the artist interprets the flow and movement of each student in a 90 minute slow flow guided by Katie Daehler. Each Yogi will take home a piece of art that was compose during the event and end the evening with a glass of bubbly and treats.
Carrie Beth Waghorn is a contemporary artist specializing in monochromatic renderings of the female form. Both raw and expressive, her work invokes an unadulterated sense of feminine beauty and vulnerability. She uses a minimalistic approach and bold line work to create stunningly simplistic pieces, portraying roles of feminine stereotypes and sexuality. Publications include; Create Mag, Art Mag, Meyer Vogyl Gallery and Charleston City Paper. She currently paints from her sunny studio in Charleston, South Carolina.
