katie daehler || yoga + musings

Through the science of yoga + meditation, I guide others to trust and honor their bodies, connect to their “Spirit Stuff”, and transfer lessons from the mat to real life.

(I also lead kick-ass retreats. because besides yoga, travel is one of life’s greatest teachers.)

Hey there, I’m Katie Daehler. I’m a yoga + meditation teacher in Charleston, SC.

Sometimes I write things on the blog about yoga, wellness, travel, single life, dating life, spirit stuff, experimenting with sobriety, and general musings on being a human. My interests are varied and sometimes unrelated, so whatever I’m feeling inspired to write about is usually what goes up!

In my previous life, I was a public school teacher. I taught bilingual elementary and finished my last year as a middle school Spanish teacher, which ended my decade-long teaching career (middle schoolers are no joke y’all…). I’ve been officially out of the classroom setting for two years, but have taught yoga through Empowered Minds at a local elementary school in Charleston, which has been hugely fulfilling and an incredible organization to be a part of. But for now…

I love teaching yoga and meditation classes at several studios around Charleston. One of my favorite groups to teach is bachelorette and wedding parties because they know how to have fun and not take it too seriously. So hit me up if you’re planning a bachelorette party or getting married anytime soon!

Although yoga is a huge part of my identity, it’s not my only passion or the only way I like to sweat. I get “itchy feet” quite often and believe travel is one of life’s greatest teachers, so I try to get out of the country at least once a year. I’m currently working on merging my love for yoga and travel into creating domestic and international retreat offerings, which is what excites me most right now (more info on Exhale España: A Yoga, Hiking, and Culture Retreat in April 2020 HERE!).

When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, you can usually find me at my second fun job (lululemon on King Street), listening to true crime podcasts, sweating at Orangetheory or F45, eating chips & salsa, hanging out at one of Charleston’s beautiful beaches, or grabbing a bite to eat with friends at one of the Holy City’s many incredible restaurants.

Whether you’re a yoga newbie or seasoned practitioner, a local or a visitor, I hope to see you on the yoga mat or meditation cushion sometime soon!

Much love,

KD
