What are essential oils?

Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds distilled from plants that are revolutionizing the way we care for our health. These powerful plant solutions have transformed how I think about wellness and completely changed my life for the better. I am so grateful for these drops of delight! 

How are they used?

Aromatically

Using essential oils doesn't have to be complicated, just open the bottle and sniff! Our sense of smell is so powerful and has incredible health benefits, including uplifting the mood, inducing more restful sleep, and maintaining open airways. Diffusing essential oils is another great way to use the oils aromatically. They not only make your home smell great, they clean + purify the air too. Win, win, win!

Topically

Sometimes we need more localized support, and that's where topical use of essential oils comes in handy. You can safely apply essential oils directly to the skin wherever you need more support. If you are new to oils, it is highly recommended that you start by dilluting a couple drops (you don't need much, a little goes a long way!) with a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil -- especially on children, babies, and anyone with sensitive skin. The soles of the feet are another great place to use oils topically, as they enter our system quickly this way.

Internally

Many essential oils are safe to consume internally. However, be sure the bottle says "Essential Oil Supplement" AND "Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade" before taking any oils internally. You can put 1-2 drops of your favorite citrus oil in your water to make it taste better and support the body's natural detoxification system. Internal use also helps with occasional digestive discomfort, healthy immune function, and detoxification + elimination.
